Group Classes

The goal of our Group Exercise Program is to provide you with professional instruction and safe, effective, well-balanced fun workouts. We offer a variety of classes and instructors that focus on cardiovascular conditions, strength and flexibility training, and body mind awareness. Many of our classes are geared for all levels of fitness and some are more appropriate for beginning, intermediate or the advanced exerciser. We encourage you to take a few minutes to read the following class descriptions so you can get the most out of your workout. Our instructors are here to help you. If you

Luis Rodriguez Fitness Director

Luis Rodriguez is the Fitness Director and Group Fitness Instructor with WOW Fitness in West Hartford. In this role, Luis leads a team of instructors in providing challenging, creative and fun group fitness classes like kickboxing, body sculpting, step, abs and high intensity interval training. Luis not only teaches what he knows, he continues to educate himself. He is certified in CPR/AED and is a Certified Group Fitness instructor through ACE. He is an avid runner and enjoys the gym experience. He wants to teach others to LOVE working out. Come join him for one of his classes and experience the positive energy and motivation he brings.

Zumba – is a fusion of Latin and International music – dance themes that create dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system.  The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.  Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.  It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.

Step/Sculpt – This class is designed to get your heart pumping and your muscles working.  The American Council on Exercise recommends not only cardio workouts to keep the heart and lungs strong, but also muscle conditioning exercises to keep the skeletal frame and muscles in good working order.

Full Body Sculpt – is designed to shape and tone the body without building muscular size or bulk.  Body sculpting is highly recommended to boost metabolism.

Rev– Indoor cycling, where instructors guide participants through workout phases. Warm-up, steady, up-tempo cadences, sprints, climbs, cool-downs, etc. You control the resistance on your bike to make the pedaling as easy or as difficult as you choose. Constant adjustment is normal.

Kickboxing – Combination of aerobics, boxing and martial arts – it’s one of the most popular fitness trends. This intense, total-body workout can improve strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination and balance.

Body Fusion – Combination lower body, core and upper body exercises.  This class offers the best of all.  This intense workout is sure to give you the results you are looking for.  It helps retain lean muscle tissue while boosting metabolism.

Will Power –  A series of exercises using your own body weight.  Bring your WILL POWER!!!
